Subscription and access
You can find information on the available subscription plans and how to subscribe on the EPPO PP1 Database website, under Subscription plans.
For your information, credit/debit card payment will grant you access to the Database immediately after payment. With bank transfer, access is granted once the payment has been received by EPPO. Please allow up to 10 days for the payment to be processed before contacting us.
The administrator of your Organization's account should log in to the PP1 Database and, from the Dashboard, select ‘Order/Renew subscription’.

Yes. The administrator of your Organization’s account should log in to the PP1 Database. From the Dashboard, select under ‘Order/Renew subscription’ the desired new subscription plan. The remaining time and amount already paid will be taken into account, and the duration and price of the upgraded subscription will be recalculated proportionally.

No, as long as all users belong to the same Organization and use the same email domain. Only account administrators can add and/or remove users from the Organization’s account.
If an NPPO wishes to add a new user or update the details of an existing user, please contact the EPPO Secretariat via this contact form. Once the request has been processed, the new or updated user will receive an automatically generated email with the relevant information and instructions for accessing the PP1 Database.
There is no special free-access scheme for researchers. Free access may be available to certain users, such as employees of National Plant Protection Organizations (NPPOs) or relevant experts that collaborate with EPPO.

Yes. After logging in, you can change the information in your Dashboard, following the link ‘Change my Organization information’.
Standards
New and revised EPPO PP1 Standards are uploaded to the EPPO PP1 Database once they have been approved by the EPPO Council every year and are available for publication. This usually happens around November of each year.
Yes. You can purchase the relevant Standard through the publisher of the EPPO Bulletin, at the Wiley Online Library . You can search for the relevant Standard in the appropriate issue of the EPPO Bulletin using the search tool available here .
General Standards are available for free in the EPPO Bulletin.
No. Access to the PP1 Database does not grant permission to reproduce, distribute, sell or otherwise make copies of individual Standards. If you wish to obtain or use an individual Standard outside the EPPO Database on PP1 Standards, please consult the terms and conditions provided by the publisher, Wiley Online Library .
No. The EPPO Secretariat cannot provide recommendations beyond the information contained in the adopted EPPO PP1 Standards. If you have a specific question, please contact the national authority in the country where the product is intended to be used.
The EPPO PP1 Standards are developed by experts that collaborate with EPPO. Information on the relevant panels and expert working groups, their current members and their terms of reference can be found on the EPPO website, under Panels directed by the Working Party on Plant Protection Products .
EPPO experts are proposed to EPPO by the Heads of the National Plant Protection Organizations (NPPOs) of EPPO member countries . Experts are selected according to their relevant expertise and experience, while also taking into account other factors such as geographical balance and the needs of the relevant Panel or Expert Working Group.
When needed, EPPO launches calls for experts. However, if you believe that your expertise could make a valuable contribution to the development of EPPO PP1 Standards, you may contact the Head of your NPPO.
Invoices and payment
A pro-forma invoice is generated automatically once you have completed or renewed your subscription. This pro-forma will be available after logging in, in your Dashboard, under ‘Administrator features’.
EPPO is an international Organization and therefore does not charge VAT on its invoices.
